Policies & Fees

Initial Consultation

Finding the right therapist to assist in your healing and personal growth is an important decision that will have a significant impact on the outcome of your care. With this in mind, I have established intake policies aimed to help you make an informed decision and aid you in making the best decision possible about your therapeutic relationship.

  • Your Initial Consultation fee will only be charged if you make a follow-up appointment. If you choose to not to begin therapy with me, you will pay no out-of-pocket expense.

  • Intake Fee is assessed for a 50-minute session.

Insurance

  • For Out-of-Network services, a monthly statement of services provided and fees paid can be provided upon your request. You will be able to submit this statement to your carrier for reimbursement.  Deductibles, copays, and co-insurance payments are required as specified by your insurance carrier.

The Benefits of Paying Out of Pocket

  1. Protect your identity, your family, and your career. Your privacy is important to you, your career, and your family's financial security. No third-party invasion of your privacy means you're able to keep your mental health information free from public record and scrutiny.

  2. Prevent insurance adjusters from determining your level of care. Insurance companies can limit you from receiving certain treatments or medications by refusing to pay for them. Self-pay means that no insurance company or managed care can interfere with your level of care.

  3. Prevent insurance adjusters from determining the length of your care. Insurance companies routinely limit the number of sessions that individuals are allowed to have with their providers. You are informed of treatment options, effectiveness probabilities, risks and benefits, and cost.

  4. File for "out-of-network" benefits if you have that availability on your insurance policy. Some clients have been able to submit their therapy payment bill to their out-of-network benefits. However, since each client's insurance policy is different, please check with your insurance provider for details. * Deductibles, copays, deductibles will apply.
